The map is set to shift up when a marker is picked up, does this not happen for you?Larger markers are perfect. My only difficulty now is that when dragging the marker, the point of the marker is directly under my finger. Is there any way to make the marker snap a little lower while dragging so that the point can be seen (to facilitate precise placement)?
This can be done from the Mode Controls already by tapping the Focus Subject item.On Orbit, it would be nice to have a checkbox that would read "Lock POI to Orbit center" or perhaps another long press option menu item "Reset POI (to Orbit center)"
What is the use case for this (as opposed to just tapping clockwise or counter clockwise)?Ok heres another idea to throw out there. For Orbit, how about a "Degrees" setting which would open the orbit circle so then we could only fly a semi circle and maybe as soon as the orbit is anything less than 360 degrees the AC just gets to one end and the goes back to the other end. This would also facilitate people setting the orbit to 359 degrees which would still give you a full circle but the AC would go back and forth instead of in a circle.
You can always just do mid-air calibration at wherever the aircraft is, which will be "ground level" and then the min-altitude means 1m above that level. Also how does this affect when i am flying below takeoff point, in a valley below me for example?
Thanks for the mock-up. Would it be good enough to be able to just draw a curved path instead of having all the fancy handles?By the way, hopefully it will be possible to plan curved paths in the future waypoint mode. I think any kind of bezier handles would be difficult to use with the touch interface.
Re map markers: Yes map does move up. When I press the middle of the map marker the tip of the maker ends up right below my finger. If I try to aim for the tip of the marker to press and hold, and i am successful, then when dragging i can see the tip but very often i miss the tip and end up with the long press menu instead. How about just increasing the distance that the map pops up? Or making it pop down instead of up? Great idea btw making the map and the marker move together!!The map is set to shift up when a marker is picked up, does this not happen for you?

I think the amount is built-in behavior to Google Maps so not sure if it can be changed. Is using the long-press menu good enough (dragging becomes a moot point)? How about just increasing the distance that the map pops up? Or making it pop down instead of up?
You have to fly there first. You can either do it not using Autopilot, or you can have Autopilot open and in the Flight Dashboard (but not engaged). Once you get the aircraft to "ground level", start the engage sequence and go to town.Re mid air calibration: Can you explain the procedure a little more when i would do the mid air calibration? Can I start the cruise mode then do it? Or do i have to fly there first without Autopilot and then open Autopilot?
I suppose it would then also need to have an entrance and an exit point? Once it starts getting complicated enough it sounds like something better handled by waypoint mode.Re Orbit degree limits: My idea is that by limiting the degrees of the Orbit would no longer be a full circle. For example i want to fly an Orbit around a lighthouse but the lighthouse has trees behind it so i cant do a full circle so then i could do a semicircle only as far as the trees would allow.
Yes i guess youre right i could just use long press and choose "Orbit Center" but this is not as precise as being able to see the tip of the icon and put it exactly where you want it. Also, long press wont work once you have waypoint mode and you already have a bunch of waypoints.I think the amount is built-in behavior to Google Maps so not sure if it can be changed. There is already an entry point. Is the circle not the entry point? All you need to do is open it up from there. Exit is not necessary because it would just go back and forth or stop if you prefer. Much easier than waypoints for something simple. And it would be something other people dont have and fun to play withI suppose it would then also need to have an entrance and an exit point? It is coming in 3.0, we promise.any news on waypoints?

In the meantime, against our better judgement, we are adding minimum altitude as low as 0m (1m selectable on controls). Here is an example, which resulted in several near-crashes during filming (notice the sign fly by at 0:05), so beware.

So long as the end user understands and accepts full liability in the event of a crash. I think the low level option is ok
Send us an email and we will sort it out.hi all! attempting to work on why I suddenly am unable to connect to beta version of autopilot. is it possible to delete the MFI certificate? and if so do I have to get a new invite to the beta? I'm feeling really stupid right now. thank you for any help.
Here is a teaser of the upcoming Waypoint mode in 3.0....
Focus relies on GPS to function (not image recognition). If you are inside and close to the aircraft, the signal accuracy probably isn't enough to get a good lock.does anyone know why when i use Focus mode and try to test it on my desk it does not point to the operator? instead once engaged the camera points somwehere else. I am using ipad air 2 and use barometer and notivce the status says below flight deck. Does my inspire need to be in the air for it to work?
Yes. Do you want it to linearly interpolate altitude between the points like zip line? Also, would you prefer to set a speed for the segment, or speeds at each point and have it interpolate the speed between the point? Will it be possible to set different heights for single waypoints?
