Had 2x 2200 Zippys. I know he had small ones, so was wondering if bigger ones, say 2 x 3000 or so, would add to range. ?

I've been testing various combinations and permutations and I'm up to 26:34. Hoping to increase that number with a newly modified TB47 and two 3S 5200's.

Now if it would just stop raining....

Why dont you modify a TB48? Btw, is it difficult to modify the battery ? I am not really talented in things like this.

Been flying a modified TB48 till now yes. It's heavier. More is less in some cases, when hunting for the perfect balance.

The difference between TB 47 & 48 is only 73 grams but those 5300 would be around 6000 each? A lot of weight, will be very interesting to find out. Might work on the X3 but might be to much for the X5?

The difference is >100g actually based on actual weighing.

The 3S 5200's are only 331g each.

The 5200's are really overkill for the 4500 TB47 as well.

I have two TP LiHV 3S 4500mah on order. They charge to 4.35V and are only 241g each. Should be s nice match with my newly modified TB47.

received two 6S 2200mah 45c batteries yesterday. jad the 9.6km test last night.
everything seems to be fine. will report the data later this evening.

TC how are you attaching that battery plate to the aircraft? Can you show a closeup of the aircraft upside down?

Thx!

the original idea are form dbsmods.com

Have you tried 3D printing that bracket? I have a friend with a printer and I wouldn't mind trying it if you have the file?

If not would you mind taking a few shots of the bracket with a tape measure / ruler next to it?

Thx! Great info exchange!

I personally think those 3D printing are so easy to change the shape when its get hot (I have P3 lenses cover left behine in my car, after an hour, it became very soft.) So I decided to use alloy to cut in that shape.
I do have it in Auto CAD format, leave me your email and I will sent it to you tomorrow when I get back to my office.

With the new 6S 2200mah 45C-90C
I use the same method to fly, when I got to 9.6km I still have 68% of battery left (which is the same as last 9km fly, 67%) When I landed I got 28% (comparing ti last data, it has 21% left). Total flying time are 21:52 for this this time ( last flying are 22:01 )
So in my point of view, I think weights does effect to our inspire.
By using
6S 1550 mah weight are 340g
It is safe to fly 9km more than enough.

6S 2200 mah weight are 481g
Enough power and Safe to fly 10km.

So what's your view on the main battery cross feeding to try and charge the aux. some have suggested matching the aux to the main of 5700 mah

Yes matching provides the optimal discharge rate throughout the flight.

The 5700 battery when matched to a 5200 3S MultiStar pair yielded nearly 27 minutes of flight time.

maybe I am wrong but........
Do you notice I put a extra red switch on top or my original batteries? may it can prevent the cross charge and I usually I charge the mod battery and 6S extra batteries one hour b4 I go flying so they both are 4.3 in each cell.
Usually I will switch on the original battery first, when it is connected to the apps I will check cell voltage to see if their is any odd things. once everything fine then I will switch on the additional red switch, check again on the apps, if nothing unusual then I will fly off (better have a flying plan b4 you switch on anything)
