How to change from standard to satelite view?

i downloaded the new APP tonight now with the unofficial APP I always had a satalite view "houses buildings ect." Now I have the standard view I do see the icon on the screen to switch.which I have tried with no luck I started her up went through the motions to no avail. Is this option "satalite" available if so how and is anyone else having this problem. If anyone cld help me it wld be appreciated.

Yep click the "layers" button next to the compass one and select sat or hybrid in the selection that pops up, still works the same.

Make sure that your maps are cached for the area you will be flying in.
