Yes and you can use a heat gun carefully to wrap it I have done this to Rc cars..

Napa auto has an adhesive carbon fiber in chrome/black. 12 bucks

If I remember correctly I don't think it's very heavy either

Since the inspire looks like a portal gun, mine will be getting a small aperture science logo on it. (Portal its a videogame).

You guys are pretty creative! I wanna try and replicate the skin of a "Tree Python", including the shade of green it is. That color should stand out pretty good to help out with orientation as well.
