Mavic Air or Mavic Pro as Inspire complement?

@SWINDY hit on it very well above. The slightly wider FOV and then 100 Mbps bitrate on the air are the only real differences between the Pro and the Air in terms of camera. The additional sensors on the Air are pretty dang awesome. We were worried about it being another platform that DJI has chosen to use wi-fi connection with as opposed to OcuSync but we've found it to be not a problem. Very robust and no issues with video downlink.

If you live in the south you should be ok with the air if you are looking to go that small. Seems the air is having a bit of a shaking problem in cold weather. Seems the imu doesn't like the cold and causes jerky flight. Something that is important to us up north. Honestly I'd get a p4p if you're looking for a backup similar in video and picture quality to your i2.
