Ok that's what I needed to know. I'll just do it they way you show in the install video and someone will get a great antenna with the I1 if I ever sell it.

History shows it DOES increase the resale value ... and there are still no mods to the bird itself so a lot of warranty issues are avoided.

The arrival date on the website has been changed.

"Antenna kits are due to arrive in Miami July 17th

Preorders will immediately ship out to customers in the order they were received."

It seems they've been delayed.

Its past the 17th. Have not received any updates on this or pictures of the final product.

I hope they ship soon. Very tired of the short range I get anymore! I can't get a mile anymore. At one point my i1 would get a couple miles regularly. Not sure if it was that last firmware update or if I have a an issue with my i1 but my range seemed to be less and less after nearly every fw "upgrade"

2 quick questions...
- $209 is the price for kit and installation?
- Does the antenna come off for transport? I have an Aerial Media Pro pelican case for the I1 and i don't think the RC will fit in it's slot if the antenna is permanently attached.

i'm on the same boat. i think that is normal for USPS at some point it will show up in your local mail tracking system

Box arrived! Can't wait to get this thing installed and tested. I also noticed that there were new pics on DBS's page showing the kit (the final version that actually shipped) installed as well.
