Video editing programs........ Which one?

I think PP is just about the best cutter (scene editor) but not the best at color correction/grading. But, even the Resolve gets a lot of love for its color grading tools the set they give you if you get the free version is not where near what you get if you open your wallet.

Resolve is definitely a very high end color grading system - and with the update to version 12.5 the editing features have gotten very good as well. Resolve was not initially built as an editor, but over the years it has developed into a something pretty good - especially for the price (free version)! You will find more plug ins and effects, etc for some of the others...
