I thing those sunshades are way underpriced , after subtracting the material and labour almost no profit left.

It could be useful for those very precise fingertip control situations. It could also be useful just as a safe stand for your remote, between flights. But the attachment should be quick lock type so you can instantly take the RC in your hands, in case you need to move your position in case of an emergency.
There are all kind of quick lock tripod heads on the market. And I already have one. All I would need is a smartly designed tray with a tripod screw hole.
