Tom, I have just tried that and I DO have the option for 4096x2160......But..... the ratio is 17:9, does this matter?

17:9 is just the cropped factor I believe. I don't remember what the options are for the x4s but I usually decor in 16:9 3840x2160. 4K. See my screen shot from my Crystasky.

What you typed is right. just remember options will change when you change the FOV and frames per second. You screen shot is just showing the photo mode

Tom, could you tell me please , do you move any rings on the actual camera/lens at all, or do you leave it as it came from the factory?

On a related note, how do you select still image size? I want to take photos with the full 20 megapixels, but all of my photos are about 8 megapixels. In the still photo settings box there is no place to select the image size. This is using an X5S.
