Actually, I stumbled across the recording of a webinar from a company called Vidovation - on YouTube. It doesn't have anything to do with UAVs but it is all about video transmission issues of professional broadcasters and how the company helps to solve those issues. After watching the whole video several times I felt like I had taken a college course in RF transmission. It helped my understanding of potential problems and potential solutions more than I could have possibly figured out in YEARS of flying on my own. Although the lecture goes far beyond what we as UAV pilots are likely to want, need, or be able to afford, I highly recommend viewing it for the theory.

Somewhat off topic but I just downloaded new DJI Go on iPad. Skipped share photos/location and went to Account sing-in. Couldn’t sign in. The “Enter” was shaded out. Couldn’t get pass it with phone number instead of password. Verified email and reset password with same password. No change. Any ideas?
Yes, before I tried phone number. Tried new account and it recognized that my email was already assigned. The problem is it won’t allow me to press “Enter” after entering password; it is grayed out. Tried deleting and downloading app 2 times. Also, when it is asking me if I want to share photos/location, it is saying to “improve functions of DJI Go 4”. I downloaded DJI Go.
PS. Went to your web site. Nice photos. I am jealous. Got into drones from love and career in flying but have zero creative ability in photography.
Figured one issue out. Had the DJI Go 4 open in background. Got signed in and selected P3P as equipment but can’t go further. Stops there and app doesn’t launch.

I have had exactly the problems described above with I1 Pro v2, iPad Pro 9.7. Radio interference, compass error, motor overload, automatically switching to ATTI mode and also losing control thru the iPad while the RC was still working. All this about 2 mths ago. I emailed DJI & they responded quickly with a suggestion to reset (I guess) the compass by toggling the mode sw 6 times on the RC, at which time the “calibrate compass” window pops up. I haven’t had the compass error since. Still occasionally had the radio interference & display problem but it happens with both the Go app & Autopilot. I will be switching everything to airplane mode in future once the maps are loaded. There have been a lot of issues with the iOS updates so I expect this is related. I just make sure I can manually fly Home VLOS at all times.
I haven't heard of the compass reset so you so toggle the p/a/f flight mode button 6 times to reset the compass?
Finally got my P3P up and running after DJI GO and iOS updates. And you guessed it.... interference warnings, motor overload and motor obstructed warnings. Bird was also wandering erratically and went into forced landing. Took inside with props off and ran all the motors up for a period...no heat or smoothness issue.
I know this is “cutting edge technology” and we are always told to expect bugs BUT why is it that most of the problems are caused by FW and App updates after months of flawless operation? Apple has a few update issues occasionally and they are usually minor or, if serious, pulled immediately. With DJI, it’s always “send pic”. Most of you guys are using the equip in business and this has got to impact it.
I just returned I2 and Crystalsky Ultra...i love this stuff but spend more time on forums trying to figure out problems than I do flying by a factor of 10. Sorry....venting.

I have to say that most of my time in flight with the Inspire 1 has been with no issues up until now! So DJI what the heck is going ??

Charles, I turned the Airplane Mode on and tried the P3P again. No interference issues. Flying from the same place with the Mavic, I have not had to that. I am making these flight in my yard where my WiFi network could be an influence. Doesn’t explain the issue others are reporting where there is no WiFi issue. Chew on this one for awhile.
Affirm. Closed background apps and put put the iPhone on Airplane Mode. But never had to do that with Mavic using DJI Go 4 flying same place.
