hey folks,
have a minor issue with my 14mm lens / inspire 2 ProRes bird.
if i tilt down, the horizon gets"round" or in other words: the world seems to be round, cause the horizon is not flat at all.
ist there any solution for that ?
thanks for help ;)

kind regards,
michael ..

Typical response when a wide angle lens approaches the edges of the format unless it is well corrected. Some lenses behave better than others (e.g. A rectilinear lens). Some software corrects for that barrel distortion in post too.

Davinci Resolve 14 (Freeware or paid Studio version.) has a "Lens Distortion Control" along with a "Analyze" box in the Sizing window in the video editor to correct for barrel distortion with a horizon. Easy fix.

Hi Michael, you may want to go to your video settings and verify that "Dewarp" is turned on. If that is turned off you will see exaggerated curvature which gets worse the more you tilt the camera up or down. I can see a huge difference when it is turned on and off.
