I have been looking at other apps to use with my X5. As far as I can tell none of the 3rd party options available just now work with the X5. Is this correct? I am interested in autopilot and mapping options. Does anybody know of anything?

The SDK doesn't yet support the X5.

Coming Soon.

So if the SDK does not support the X5 yet I guess that means Litchi can not control an X5 I1 -- is that right? I believe the iOS app Autopilot has developed there own development environment and would therefore not be limited to what the SDK works with.

So, just to be clear, does Android based Litchi currently support the X5? Does iOS based Autopilot currently support the X5?

Any 3rd party app will need DJI SDK support for the X5 to connect to it.

We developed our own Flight Controller, but we will rely on the SDK to connect and send commands. The next version of the SDK is bringing X5 support, and Autopilot users will receive it as a free upgrade, as usual.

Any idea when the SDK will support the X5 and then how long thereafter before Autopilot will integrate support for the X5?

DJI indicated that it would be happening "soon", and we are already working on 3.1 against the beta version of the SDK.

Ahh yes, the dreaded "soon" promise. I do hope they push it out soon and that you guys get a chance to debug and release ... soon!
