Firmware Update v1.2.0.17 Available

And just to add one additional tip.

ONLY put the BIN file in the TOP directory (ROOT) No other filed should be on the SD card before installing any new Inspire 1 FW.

Also, if it fails, check the TXT file that the FW install/upgrade process creates.

Assuming you used a CLEAN SD card, nothing on it, No files, just the new v17 FW, so After the first upgrade attempt, you well see a new directory for the camera, and a new .TXT file, open this text file you should see a statement successful or canceled of failed.

Just make sure if you try to start the upgrade procedure all over again, remove all old files off the SD card and leave just the BIN file. No others on the card.

Hope this information helps.

Best regards,
Steve

Luke, try to reload the 17 FW again. also, make sure you have the camera is seating on it's fixture. Take if off again and reinstall it.

Also, you have some other main control issue in the Inspire. What's up whit then RED and Yellow LED?

Let us know if you get this resolved.

Best regards,
Steve

Hi Steve - I'm following this, but if the aircraft's yellow lights keep flashing and not turning green (end of point 3) any thoughts on what I should do next? Thanks

Hi Steve the I flew the drone inside with the camera off. The cam seems not to respond to anything.

Go to this thread and read post #18: http://www.inspirepilots.com/threads/v1-2-0-17-firmware-update-failure-solved.1344/#post-13962
Find the file on your SD card (in the camera) and look for the file named in the picture (at top), a txt file. Compare your readings to those in the picture. If they are the same, your bird is updated. So no further attempts at updating the copter are necessary. Just follow the instructions for the controller.

The problem is that apparently the firmware got corrupted on the first update, as I am checking the firmware versions everything tallies up but where it says camera firmware version is blank, I tried using another SD card fresh format with fresh firmware, but the txt file is reading Cancel.

It's reading cancel because it is up to date. That's what I was told.

It is correct on mine. Why do you say it isn't?

So it is correct? Because the number is different. On the thread you asked me to have a look at it reads different can you check?

Thanks. Actually I got it working......seemed that the problem was that the aircraft had updated but the firmware to the RC hadn't....I tried physically connecting the RC to the aircraft using the supplied USB cable and the update kicked in. Seems to be fine now. Shall fly it tomorrow and hopefully all will be well. Thanks for al the help, I hope others have success too.

Great news! Glad to hear you're back in the air! Have fun flying.

No first flight yet, but first update was a success using what Abe and InspiredOne had posted. Thank you, Abe and InspiredOne.

That's great for those who had no errors. What I posted was for those of us who had issues after attempting to update.

You were one of the lucky ones!
