New OSMO Firmware Released 12-25-2015

Hey Guys,

I had that firmware update issue (wifi disconnecting & fw listed as the old one.) as i reported above so I redownloaded the old fw (from october) and reloaded that on the osmo. It went smooth so then i loaded the new fw. that too went smooth except i have a weird result on the TXT report as listed below. everything seems to be working smoothly and the fw is reporting correctly in the app now. Hope this helps!

OSMO Firmware v1.4.1.80 Released.

Check out the release notes for more info.
Everything worked as expected to me, for the record this is the file that I downloaded from the website, perhaps they fixed the kinks: OSMO_FW_BUGFIX_V01.04.01.80.bin.zip

I updated via the SD card, no issues whatsoever, the rights version is reporting and all the new features are there.

Yeah, they said the new file would be posted on the DJI site today. At least they are trying to satisfy us. For the ones that have already upgraded before the bug fix file was released will have to downgrade to.60 then re upgrade using the new file. Some may still see the old version .19, but all features are working correctly.

Same thing. What are you guys doing to resolve? anyone talk to DJI?

I did mine via the app. everything seemed to go smooth... then saw that the version didn't update so i downloaded the fw from DJI site to a card and tried again. I got the TXT file which gave some weird aborts and a bunch of successes but all stance firmware versions. v.99.99.99.99 etc.

I also got the version via the APP (OSMO_FW_V99.99.99.99.bin on December 25th) and sadly I got my osmo bricked. Nobody says something about what actually happened with the WiFi. Did it burned? The software somehow can't go back to the factory setup NEVER?...nothing.

Even the chat of customers services is really annoying.

Kind of frustrating feeling.

The only test that I haven't done is to format the MicroSD card then install the firmware with the BUGFIX (I don't know why the don't call it with other number or name) and start the Osmo.

Has anybody fixed a bricked Osmo?

Regards.

I can't get the Dji Oslo to work with my Inspire 1 camera. the Cosmo will turn on but the lights don't turn on. all that happens is it calibrates the camera and then goes limp and starts to beep for about 5 minutes and then makes a solid continuous beeping noise. and then i can't turn it off without pulling out the battery. any help?

DJI says the WiFi module is killed and needs to be sent back to them for repair. Some hinted that a downgrade, followed by an upgrade again with the BUGFIX version might work. Just trying to install the BUGFIX version without downgrading first won't do anything for sure, it sees same version and skips upgrade.

You must first upgrade the I1 cam on the I1, with the latest I1 firmware. Note your I1 will have the latest firmware after that.

I was able to successfully downgrade my OSMO to V01.02.01.60 and did the upgrade again with the 'new' bugfix firmware. All went ok this time and everything is functioning as promised/expected :)

How did you downgrade it? Just copying the file V01.02.01.60 from 2015-11-11 into the MicroSD card and that's it?
Did you format your MicroSD card first? How did you format?

Regards
