I'd like to get one of those. .
I use the locator 8. .it has a 1000 ft range in favorable conditions. .it's about 70 usd on amazon. .
After thinking about it some more the trackimo gps tracker is approximately 100.00usd and it comes with a service that is included for the first year ,then it's five dollars a month. .this might be a good tracker for you ..I debated for awhile what to get, but in the end decided not having to rely on gps or cell (since I fly in non coverage areas a lot) was best for me. I wasn't thrilled about having to carry the extra handheld device, but it will be worth it if my i1 goes down. That's assuming I don't have a 15 mile fly away like one guy reported! Another plus was a one and done payment. No monthly fees.
Yea I think I will get another small GPS tracker for redundancy, but baby steps my friend. It's easy for me to let my spending get out of control on toys, so I'm convincing myself to just buy a little at a time! hahaAfter thinking about it some more the trackimo gps tracker is approximately 100.00usd and it comes with a service that is included for the first year ,then it's five dollars a month. .this might be a good tracker for you ..
I have a rf-v16 and a tk102 a locator 8 and I want a marco polo and a tracimo.. in the long run probably the best option. .
Turbo. ..
Yep that's the tracker I am using works like a charmFlytrex Live or Drone MODS UAV Tracker? Is this the type of trackers you are referring to?
I've tried the eBay gps trackers but got fed up with the relatively short battery life. I then tried a loc8tor which found my 3dr iris which landed in a high corn field last summer but range is only around 100m. I've just now received the Marco Polo RC ver. which I hope will do the job.Anybody from the UK chime in on trackers that are self contained and run using a payg sim?

This is how I mounted my Marco polo - opted for the pet tag version due to added ruggedness, waterproof, and longer battery life

Rodger that MadMitch88. .Again, I have to warn you about the Pet Tracker version of the Marco Polo. It's JUNK. Just because it looks cool mounted to the Inspire doesnt mean jack when it comes time to actually use it to locate a lost UAV. Please try to remember why it's there.
