updating from 1.6.00.40+ to 01.10.01.40 (X3)??????????

I haven't flown my inspire1 in 9 months and It's still running 1.6.00.40+ and 1.5.70 on the rc then 1.5.00.30 on my camera? Thought I remembered something about having to do every update in sequence but on DJI's website it doesn't go back that far. Does anyone know if i can just skip over them and update to v01.10.01.40 (X3) without loosing anything or bricking it? also my app is still running 2.6.0 on iPad

Any idea what i should do?
