The area you were flying in has a big part to do with it. You can use these range extenders believe it or not they do work.

You really dont know about your surroundings. We have been flying at a 300 acre or so site. We always seem to have problems that are just too weird for normal explanation or logic. Compass problems, magnetic interference, signal loss by transmitter or DJI goggles. We thought it was gremlins or aliens. One day we were talking to a local guy who informed us that the area was once a gravel pit and to eliminate having to move the towers, conveyors... whatever was there they just buried it and moved on. Thus in flying in that area is not conducive to normal flight. This ts just a story about my experiences not meaning to explain anyone else's problems.
