3D Scanning A Car With Drones -- FAIL

Well, it didn't turn out the way I wanted! This is my attempt at 3D Scanning A Car With Drones... And I FAILED! The software I used for this video was Agisoft Photoscan and Pix4D. I really like Pix4D as it provided the best results from the photos. I am definitely not a pro when it comes to 3D scanning by any means this is just a fun video.

Any suggestions to improve the Photoscan results?

Up at Interdrone I saw a presentation on scanning vehicles. A side comment was the cameras didn't like shiny surfaces. Their solution was to toss a fine layer of dirt on the bright spots.

Yea, that's a good idea. I watched a video where they threw flour on the surface to give a less reflective surface. I'll have to try it but not at the flying field.... I don't think they'd appreciate all the flour on the ground lol!
