Ever since updating my Inspire 1 Raw firmware this summer, I've been experiencing lots of live video feed issues with my Inspire 1 Pro X5R. According to the youtube tests below, Firmware v1.8 & v1.9 provide the most stable video feed and best range.

My Inspire 1 Pro currently has version v1.11 installed and I'd like to rollback to version 1.8. I already have the bin file for WM610_FC550R_FW_V01.08.01.40. Unfortunately, I have to incrementally step back from v1.11 to 1.10 & 1.9 before getting to 1.8.
Can anyone send me the following files or point me to site hosting them?

WM610_FC550R_FW_V01.09.1.30.zip
WM610_FC550R_FW_V01.10.01.40.bin

Update: I found copies of v1.09 and v1.10 firmware bin files.
Currently have WM610_FC550R_FW_V01.11.01.50.bin installed on my Inspire 1 Pro X5R.
Loaded v1.10 onto the MicroSD card in an attempt to downgrade.
Was greeted with this RESULT message:
Packet: WM610_FC550R_FW_V01.10.01.40.bin
Result: Abort.
The current firmware does not support downgrade. Use a different version of firmware to downgrade the target version.

I also read the release notes for v1.11 and didn't notice any mention of the possibility to rollback.

Am I correct to assume that it is impossible to downgrade an Inspire 1 Raw from v1.11?

You can only file back one version usually but DJI have removed the role back from the latest release.

Thanks for the prompt reply mad_angler1! This is terrible news. My video feed is borderline unusable. Any tips for someone stuck on v1.11 with terribly, choppy, blackout live video feed?

I am calling a local Dji specialist today to see about rolling ours back. They are not fanboys so speak the honest truth.

With the latest firmware upgrades i found the ability for the Rc to automatically select the channels for a clear live video feed totally screwed and so on great advice i now manually select the strongest channel for each and every location and have a un-interupted video feed.

I have never played with the different channels. Have you had no issues after selecting the strongest channel manually?

Giumick, I'd be very interested to hear how your meeting with the DJI specialist goes. Please keep me updated. I've tried just about everything to rollback from v1.11 and it's very frustrating.

I've been doing this for the past three months both before and after the update to the firmware and have had good results manually selecting my own channels.

What is the FW version on your remote? In the last update notes was written that a huge video interference could happen if the remote is not updated to it's latest version too.
On crystalsky monitor I wasn't able to update the remote and the video feed was terrible or no feed at all. After I used regular android device with latest djigo on it I was able to update the remote as well. Then no more video feed problems. If the latest firmware is already installed I don't know then. Just sharing my experience with the latest update.
Hope that info may help you guys.

Ive just had another appalling day on the job with issues. I couldn't even use our camera operator in the end as the signal was so bad. I spoke with the specialist today too after and didnt get any answers as regards rolling the firmware back sadly. I was too busy moaning and just listened to what they suggested. They advised me to try selecting channel 20 manually and swapping the slave and master over to see if it cures the issue. We use a shield too and they told me they have stopped using them as the crash issues are very troublesome

I want to fit a better aerial system but with the stupid limits of signal strength over here it will be a huge faff on to sort and get certified for use .

Is the latest firmware working ok now pal? If it is i will happily update the lot and see if it improves. I am ignoring controller update messages at the minute. The only thing thats latest FW is the x5 as it needed to be to run the hard wire connection on the osmo.

Yes, the craft is first and the remote must be off at the time of the craft update. Then update the remote trough djigo.

Well just to update. We got the latest firmware installed etc and the result is some improvement and some new issues

First of all the slave signal now seems better although we didn't fly very far. But then comes the new issues. The gimbal motors now sometimes make an awful noise and the gimbal twitches for a split second, this is obviously a glitch in the software but isnt a huge issue as its only on the ground or around power-up and it only happens once a battery max. Secondly the camera has once again lost infinity focus. Put it on the osmo and do a calibration... works fine. Take the x5 and put it straight onto the i1... No infinity :( . I tried a recal on the exact same building i had done it on with the osmo and it simply failed to hit infinity every time.

So 2 steps forwards 1.5 back as usual with Dji.... The silver lining to this at least is that we now have focus peaking in video mode so i could manually find infinity myself.

Sort you s**t our DJI you are a joke. I would love to see the CAA threaten to ban Dji products for commercial use unless they stabilised their software, I bet that would get a rocket up their rear ends to sort out the niggles we are insulted with every single update.

There is a thread on rcgroups.com where they may be able to help you. Search for "DJI Dashboard" and you should find it. They've been able to rollback firmwares on newer platforms. That doesn't include the Inspire 1 but some of the methods may be similar if not the same.

Coincidentally, now that my migration to the Inspire 2 is complete, I have two Inspire 1 with X5R for sale that are on 1.09 and 1.08 respectively.

Apologies for my late reply.

I am running the following at the moment on my Inspire Pro X5R
App 3.1.15
Aircraft version 1.9.1.30+
RC Version 1.7.60
Camera Version 1.9.1.10
A9 PLUS version 01.15.18.09

I have no issues selecting channels manually at all. in fact my live video feed ran amazingly well over distances up to 2km

Thanks for all the follow-up help with this issues guys!
We've found the solution:
It appears the 1.11 version of the Inspire Firmware did not allow downgrading by default as previous iterations did.
However, there is a workaround.
Simply create an Empty File with no extension with the name:
For X5R camera - WM610_FC550R_FW_DEBUG
For X5 camera - WM610_FC550_FW_DEBUG
For X3 camera - WM610_FW_DEBUG

Place the empty, extensionless file along with the desired Firmware Downgrade .bin file onto the MicroSD card and wait 40 minutes for the downgrade. The other cool feature of this DEBUG hack is the ability to downgrade multiple versions at once. So you can take your Inspire from FW1.11 straight to 1.08 in a single go.

Hope this helps some others!
